The labelling names the piece, the size, how many times it gets cut, and usually the style it belongs to.
Labelling is text, not contour. PatternScan Pro does not read it off the paper. The pattern gets its name in the Pattern Library, and in the file the pieces are numbered. Piece name, size and number of cuts are added in the vector program or in pattern CAD.
