Notch

German:
Knips

A notch is a small mark on the edge of a pattern piece. It shows which edges meet when you sew, for example the front and back at the side seam.

In the file

The cut in the paper becomes a point on the contour. PatternScan Pro detects notches when digitizing, and you can add or correct them in the editor afterwards.
